A film about a meeting between improbable friends, who gather to watch I fetischmannens spår (In the Footsteps of the Witch Doctor), the first of the six films by the Swedish cinematographer Sven Nykvist that he made in or about Congo between 1948 and 1952.
The film is commissioned by Maria Lind at Tensta konsthall, as part of Sites of the Future, a wider cooperation including the Stockholm County Museum, People’s Houses and Parks, the Museum of Ethnography in Stockholm, the People’s House in Hallstavik and the Local Heritage Association in Häverödal.
