James Beckett’s environment of historical diorama’s explore the potential mystical properties of the chemical DDT with as much documentative credibility as fantasy, inspired by his muse Rachel Carson, an environmentalist who addressed through her book Silent Spring (1962) the indiscriminate use of pesticides.
