Traumatized Lemons, 2019

The traces of the interaction between the hands and the lemon become visible and are
inscribed in the raw materiality of the clay. We see the fingers grasping the oversized lemon, tearing its bright yellow skin open, exposing its pale flesh. We imagine how the lemon might enjoy this – how it likes being touched and squeezed, how it gives in to the motion of the hands, how it likes to surrender itself to the fight. Or is it a sexual game? And is there a difference, anyway?
